Searching for the best education opportunities for his children, Alexander Andronov decided to bring his family from Dubai to the UK with a Global Talent Visa

Here’s his story ⭐

Could you please tell us about your career?

I was the technical director at "Dodo Pizza" for many years before becoming the head of the company's entire IT department. Following that, I worked on a few startups. I am currently developing a money transfer service for the UAE and the UK.

Why did you decide to move to the UK?

When I decided to apply for the UK Talent Visa, I already lived in Dubai. I like Emirates, but there are some significant drawbacks for me here. For example, schools in this country are very expensive. I have three children and want to give them an excellent education. In Dubai, sending my children to school would have cost me approximately $70,000 per year. In contrast, the United Kingdom's schools are free and among the best in the world.

Why did you choose Immigram, and how do you feel about the service?

I knew I needed help preparing the Talent Visa application, so I chose Immigram based on recommendations. I am pleased with the service. It was critical to obtain the visas and pay for health insurance before the next price increase. In my case (myself, wife, and children), the increase would have cost us several thousand dollars—but everything went smoothly, and we made it on time. I applied for the visa a week before the insurance rates went up; the savings were enough to buy a car!

Could you please share some details about the application preparation process with Immigram?

In my case, Immigram’s Public Profile Boost service worked really well. When they discovered that an important tech conference in Kazakhstan was short on speakers, they quickly organized my participation—and within a few hours, I was packing my things and preparing my speech. I gave the speech, which served as proof of my professionalism in the industry.

What advice would you give to those considering obtaining a UK Global Talent Visa?

I believe that a person with plenty of free time and knowledge of the visa application process can handle this journey on their own. But let me tell you that writing about and promoting yourself is difficult. How do you strike the delicate balance between praising yourself and being honest? Experienced talent visa specialists understand how to make you appear convincing without overdoing it.

Have you already moved to the UK? Please tell us a bit about the relocation process and your plans.

I am already in the UK. We are finalizing our housing rental contract. This was difficult for us because we wanted to live near several good primary and secondary schools in London, which limited our search options. But it seems that we have found the right place!

London will be our base, and we will live and work here peacefully. As for me, it seems like I will be spending a significant amount of time flying between London and Dubai to develop my business. Good luck!
